Our Wet lab facility is equipped with the following:

  • 6 stainless steel learner stations with examination lights and rails for clamps
  • 1 stainless steel teacher station with examination lights and rails for clamps
  • 1 × Basic dishwasher
  • 1 × Cadaveric beech chair
  • 3 × Orthopedic specimen tables with clamps
  • 10 × Basic surgical dissection sets (24-piece) – Contact us for specifics
  • Basic suction units (amount to be negotiated)
  • 1 × GE mobile C-arm unit
  • 1 × Radiolucent table
  • 10 × Lead thyroid shields
  • 10 × Lead glasses
  • 5 × Pairs of lead mittens
  • 2 × Small single-sided lead aprons
  • 2 × Medium single-sided lead aprons
  • 4 × Large single-sided lead aprons
  • 2 × Large double-sided lead aprons

Additional Amenities:

  • Lecture and boardroom facilities are available at an additional cost
  • Shower and locker facilities are available
  • Outside the Lab is space for delegates to relax and check their emails

In addition to research, wet labs at the University of Pretoria are also used for teaching purposes. Students in a variety of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and medicine, use wet labs to learn about experimental methods. Students can also book the labs to conduct their own research projects.
